Double Duty Nutrition For Your Heart…and Your Joints

Wouldn’t it be great if you could support your heart health and your achy joints with one supplement? What’s one thing that your heart and your joints have in common? Inflammation. And what is necessary to quell inflammation? Soothing, healing foods and essential fatty acids. Turmeric root has been used for centuries for all kinds of inflammation-based conditions. The ancient Ayurvedic medical texts outline the healing properties, confirmed by modern science. Ginger root is another inflammation fighter; it is known for its antioxidants which are believed to help soothe temporary inflammation. Essential fatty acids help maintain a non-inflammatory state in the body.
Many plants contain fatty acids. Borage oil is rich in gamma-linoleic acid (GLA), a proven soother of joints. Flax seed oil is high in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) which can support healthy cholesterol levels. Pumpkin seed oil is also abundant in linolenic acid as well as oleic acid and phytosterols for heart health. Last but not least, coconut oil is high in lauric acid, an essential fatty acid that supports HDL (good) cholesterol.

Essential fatty acids are crucial to keep inflammation at bay, but most of us don’t get nearly enough in our diets. Many essential fatty acids are plant-based, and in this fast-paced world, we don’t get enough fruits and vegetables, which contain essential oils that contain these fatty acids. And let’s face it, you might have to consume copious amounts of vegetables to get the right amounts of fatty acids, and that is likely not happening in your diet.

If you’ve listened to my podcasts, you’re likely to have heard me talk about supplements that have a lot of bang for the buck – many ingredients in one for maximum nutrition. That’s why I love Touchstone Essentials Wellspring. Their formulation has all six of these oils, known as parent essential oils, or PEOs. The need for proper plant-based PEOs is now well understood for supporting cardiovascular health as well as joint function. Wellspring is the gold standard essential plant-based formula for your heart and joint wellness.

08-09-21 Deep Dive PREMIUM – with Jamie Walden

Meet Jamie Walden, of Omega Dynamics. Imbued with matchless passion for all things “adventurous” and “fun”, Jamie’s teen years were filled with significant tumult (injuries, arrests, and choices of near life-long consequence). However, amid the rebellion and ruckus, Jamie continually endeavored to one day earn the title, “U.S. Marine”. After being nominated to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Defense, Intelligence, and Diplomacy in Washington, D.C., where he subsequently secured a nomination to the US Naval Academy, Jamie made the determination to simply enlist in the Marine Corps Infantry and achieve his childhood dream.

After leaving the Marines Corps, Jamie obtained a double major B.S. in Law Enforcement and History. Pursuing a career in Federal Law Enforcement, Jamie was selected as an Intern for the United States Marshals Service, and subsequent recruitment to a “Three Letter” agency. It was then, when Jamie received “the call”, that the Lord began testing and affirming the genuineness of his faith.

After again returning to Iraq in 2014 to serve the Christians suffering under the savage campaign of ISIS, Jamie and his wife Virginia were compelled to surrender their paradigm and follow the Lord into full-time ministry.

“The Mission of Omega Dynamics is this: to teach, train and equip “Those with ears to hear” to stand anew in their rightful place as more than conquerors in a kingdom that cannot be shaken…this generation is literally, eternally dying for us to”
