Douglas Woodward: Author, Researcher, Speaker on the history of the Bible, Bible Prophecy, American Spiritual History, the Apocalypse in Culture, and the Paranormal.
DOUGLAS WOODWARD (Masters’ Degree in Finance, Th.M.) is an author, speaker, and researcher on the topics of biblical inspiration and textual transmission, alternate history, the apocalypse and culture, and biblical eschatology with an emphasis upon America’s place in Bible prophecy. He has decades of experience in researching, writing, and teaching on the subject. He has written eighteen books including co-authoring the bestseller, The Final Babylon (2013) with Douglas Krieger and Dene McGriff, and author of Lying Wonders of the Red Planet (2014), The Next Great War in the Middle East (2016), Revising Reality: A Biblical Look into the Cosmos (2015) co-authored with Anthony Patch, Josh Peck, and Gonzo Shimura. He coauthored The Revealing (2017) with Gary Huffman. His most recent books are Rebooting the Bible, Parts 1 (2018) and 2 (2020), as well as A Biography of the Christian Bible (2019). He also contributed to several titles for Defender Publishing including Pandemonium’s Engine (2011) and Blood on the Altar(2014). Doug is a frequent guest on radio and television programs addressing current issues from a biblical perspective.
Doug has over 43 years’ experience in the business world, serving as an executive for Microsoft, Oracle, Honeywell Bull, and as a Partner at Ernst & Young. He founded his own consulting company called Smart Starters, focused on start-ups and emerging companies, where he was engaged with four dozen clients over 12 years, living and working in the Pacific Northwest. In the business world, Doug has been a frequent speaker and published author on technology and business topics. Recently, Doug served for five years as an adjunct professor for the University of Oklahoma (OU), teaching on the topic of entrepreneurship and finance.
During Doug’s college days at OU, he was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, Campus Crusade for Christ, and Young Life. Additionally, Doug has served as Associate Minister in the Methodist and Reformed Churches. And he has also served on several church boards and as Elder in both the Presbyterian and Reformed Church of America.
Doug grew up in Oklahoma City where he was the youngest of four sons. Doug has been married to wife Donna for 44 years and has two independent and very successful married children. Last but not least, Doug and Donna enjoy two beautiful and active grandchildren, who they wish they could see much more often than they do!
