Priscilla West is an education researcher with the Government Accountability Institute and author of The New Face of Woke Education. A native of South Louisiana, she earned her degree in Chemical Engineering from LSU and began her career in oil refineries and international trading – from Louisiana and Oklahoma to Venezuela and Barbados – before launching her own oil brokerage facilitating petroleum cargo trades throughout the Atlantic basin.

Twelve years ago, Priscilla and her family settled in Tallahassee, Florida, where she took on her most challenging and rewarding role yet: full-time mom to now-15-year-old twins. When she’s not serving as an enthusiastic volleyball or soccer mom, Priscilla channels her analytical background into researching education trends and advancing grassroots advocacy for parental rights as a Chapter Chair with Moms for Liberty.
