Prior to COVID, he was internationally recognized as a pioneer in critical care ultrasonography and served as senior editor of an award-winning medical textbook translated into seven languages.

During the pandemic, he co-founded the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance, where he became widely known for challenging official treatment narratives.
