If you believe the Bible is the Word of God but have never questioned how those books were chosen, Matthew McWhorterforces a problem you cannot ignore. The version of Scripture you trust may rest on a contradiction that weakens the very case for Christianity itself.
Matthew McWhorter enters this conversation with one central question. How do you know the Bible you are reading is the right one and who made that decision? His investigation exposes a conflict between how Protestants defend the New Testament and how they dismiss parts of the Old Testament, even though both rely on the same early Church sources.
This is not a distant theological argument. It directly affects what you believe is true and whether your faith can hold when challenged. McWhorter approaches the issue like a legal case. He compares timelines, witness credibility, and historical records to test whether the foundation of Christianity is consistent or quietly unstable.
The tension builds around a reality most people have never examined. Many believers inherited their Bible without investigating its origin. That gap creates vulnerability. When questioned, the answers often do not line up.
The conflict centers on early Church authority. The same councils and figures used to validate the New Testament are often rejected when they support books like Maccabees. That inconsistency raises a question that does not go away.
This conversation extends beyond the book. It pushes into the consequences of believing something you have never tested. It contrasts the modern church with the early Church that lived under the expectation of persecution and still held to its belief that Christianity was true.
The interview opens the case. The book Canon Crossfire contains the full body of research, documentation, and evidence that cannot be covered in one discussion. Without both, you are only seeing part of the argument.
MEET THE GUEST
Matthew McWhorter is a retired corporate attorney whose life shifted after a near-death experience forced him to confront a question he had avoided. He had never read the books he was named after.
That question led to a five-year investigation into the foundation of Christianity. He approached it the only way he knew how, like a legal case. He gathered evidence, examined sources, and tested claims against historical records.
What he found challenged assumptions held by millions of Christians. His work focuses on the biblical canon and the internal conflict between Protestant claims and early Church history.
His book Canon Crossfire presents that research in full. It does not ask for belief. It demands consistency.

It highlights how these powerful entities have manipulated public trust, prioritized profit over people, and ignored accountability for the harm they’ve caused.
This book empowers readers with knowledge, uncovers long-hidden truths, and provides actionable insights to navigate and challenge a system designed to suppress dissent and maintain control.
Meet Jamie Walden, of Omega Dynamics. Imbued with matchless passion for all things “adventurous” and “fun”, Jamie’s teen years were filled with significant tumult (injuries, arrests, and choices of near life-long consequence). However, amid the rebellion and ruckus, Jamie continually endeavored to one day earn the title, “U.S. Marine”. After being nominated to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Defense, Intelligence, and Diplomacy in Washington, D.C., where he subsequently secured a nomination to the US Naval Academy, Jamie made the determination to simply enlist in the Marine Corps Infantry and achieve his childhood dream.
After leaving the Marines Corps, Jamie obtained a double major B.S. in Law Enforcement and History. Pursuing a career in Federal Law Enforcement, Jamie was selected as an Intern for the United States Marshals Service, and subsequent recruitment to a “Three Letter” agency. It was then, when Jamie received “the call”, that the Lord began testing and affirming the genuineness of his faith.
After again returning to Iraq in 2014 to serve the Christians suffering under the savage campaign of ISIS, Jamie and his wife Virginia were compelled to surrender their paradigm and follow the Lord into full-time ministry.
“The Mission of Omega Dynamics is this: to teach, train and equip “Those with ears to hear” to stand anew in their rightful place as more than conquerors in a kingdom that cannot be shaken…this generation is literally, eternally dying for us to”
