Pfizer’s former head of European toxicology went back through the testing behind the COVID shots. What he says should have been done versus what was actually done is the story he spent years documenting.

Dr. Helmut Sterz knows this process from the inside. He spent more than 20 years as a high-level pharmaceutical toxicologist, and in 2001, Pfizer appointed him to lead two of its European toxicology centers. When Pfizer announced that a COVID vaccine could be developed in a matter of months, Sterz immediately began asking the kinds of questions his career had trained him to ask.

Sterz spent his professional life evaluating pharmaceutical toxicity. He worked on methods used to assess toxicological effects in pregnant laboratory animals and their offspring. He led toxicology departments. Eventually, he was running Pfizer toxicology centers in France and England.

So when he says he began seeing holes in the development program, I wanted to know exactly what he saw.

The deeper Sterz investigated, the larger his questions became. He began looking beyond the laboratory at the relationship between pharmaceutical companies and the institutions responsible for research, regulation, public health policy and oversight. Sterz didn’t suddenly begin asking these questions when his book appeared. He says he had been documenting his concerns and circulating papers among friends, family members and former colleagues for years.

Their reaction surprised him.

Even people with advanced scientific training often had little interest in examining what he was sending them. Sterz discovered that evidence alone was not necessarily enough to make someone reconsider what they had already decided to believe. He even watched that happen inside his own family.

That experience became part of the reason he kept writing.

By 2023, the papers and research he had accumulated were becoming a book. New information continued appearing, and Sterz kept adding to the manuscript until his editor finally told him he had to stop researching and publish it.
