Dr. Andrew “Andy” Wakefield is a physician, researcher, author, and award-winning filmmaker whose work has centered on autism and vaccine safety for more than two decades. Formerly a physician at London’s Royal Free Hospital, he became one of the most recognizable and controversial figures in modern medicine after raising questions about childhood vaccines and autism, a decision that cost him his hospital appointment, professional fellowships, and medical license.
