My vision has always been to transform the practice of medicine, and part of fulfilling that vision has been to partner with companies that offer products that deliver evidence-based, high-quality nutritional solutions.
My quality Opti products consistently deliver results. We use superior raw materials in each product, and all are rigorously tested in a state-of-the-art, in-house laboratory to ensure purity, strength and composition.
While all Opti products are tremendous, there are several that are particularly close to my heart, and Opti Omega is one of those. Omega fatty acids have a central function in health and impact everything from brain function to heart health. They decrease inflammation as well.
Omegas are deemed “essential” because we need them for proper health, but cannot produce them on our own. We must therefore consume these fats through diet or supplementation. Most people don’t get enough omegas in their diets, so a supplement is needed, but picking one can get tricky. The best supplements balance the three types of omega-3 fatty acids: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). EPA and DHA are the active forms primarily found in fatty fish like mackerel and wild-caught salmon. ALA is mostly found in nuts and seeds (walnuts and chia are good sources); it is inactive and must be converted into either EPA or DHA.
Omega-3 long-chain fatty acids are required for a number of body functions, from proper blood flow to brain development. They are integral components of tissues and organ systems throughout the body, including the heart, skin, joints, eyes and immune system.
Omega-3 fatty acids are known to benefit cardiovascular health, support healthy brain function and cognition, and have also been proven to maintain normal inflammatory balance. This supplement should be part of your health strategy. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential cornerstones of human nutrition, and if you’re not taking them, you should really consider it.
