One Diseased, 5,000 Vaccinated: What’s Going On In Australia?

One little penguin is dead in the famous colony on Phillip Island in Australia. Some Australians in Dr. Tenpenny’s social media chats say they find dead birds every once in a while on the beaches. With a lifespan of only six years, a penguin death sounds like a normal day in nature, but not in Australia. We are told that the H5N1 virus was detected in a Phillip Island penguin this month that was found dead. Is this a case of “died from H5N1” versus “died with H5N1?”  Either way, it was the first single-bird infection in the colony.

And then, like clockwork, comes the overreaction: “Now, like the rest of Australia’s wild bird population, they face the threat of H5N1, which breached the continental landmass and has since started to spread in local wildlife.”

That sentence, all over one penguin death, which we’re really not sure was caused by H5N1. In response, wildlife teams started to vaccinate birds in the colony this week, according to the chief biodiversity officer for the state of Victoria in which the island lies. But it’s not just a vaccination effort, it is an unprecedented effort to vaccinate wild populations of penguins.

Jim Ferguson reports that 5,000 are to be vaccinated and microchipped (that is one in eight penguins in the colony). An additional 800 birds will be vaccinated on nearby St. Kilda Island. This is the largest wildlife vaccination project ever undertaken—all because of one bird that (possibly) had H5N1. Each penguin will get two vaccine doses within a month and be microchipped so that authorities can monitor them.

This is from the official penguin website: “Vaccination is not a standalone solution – it is an important tool alongside surveillance, monitoring and biosecurity measures that may help reduce the impacts of H5 avian influenza on vulnerable wildlife populations.”

Mass Outrage About Mass Vaccination

This mass vaccination effort has received quite a bit of attention and outrage, given that this penguin colony near Melbourne is the world’s biggest single colony of little penguins on Phillip Island. There are also penguin colonies in southern Australia — mostly Tasmania — and New Zealand. They’re also known as fairy penguins and are the smallest penguin species (Eudyptula minor) in the world. People from all over the world travel to see the colony of ~40,000 little penguins return from the ocean to their beachside burrow homes.

They’re just so proud about it.

Trying to vaccinate wild populations of any species is almost impossible, but they’re DRIVEN and DETERMINED to do it.  The birds squawk and try to peck you—just like a baby does who doesn’t want to be vaccinated!

But the wildlife managers are in a state of urgency before H5N1 spreads throughout the world! There’s that narrative again.

They’re going to snatch these birds out of their burrows, or corral them as they come up onto the beach. Then they’re going to microchip them to make it easier to find them to pump in that second jab.

The War on Birds—Bird Culling

The penguin incident is the latest travesty in a long line of a war on wildlife. We’ve had many outbreak events that lead to the culling of birds. Let’s face it, you can cull a chicken or turkey because they’re poultry and not as attractive as a penguin. They could never cull penguins; it would be heartbreaking.

Just remember the outrage last year with the ostrich culling in Canada, when 300 ostriches were targeted at the ostrich farm in British Columbia. The Canadian government detected H5N1 in the flock, and all hell broke loose. The owners fought a valiant battle, using weapons like court battles, protests and massive international attention and outrage. But in the end, Big Government won, and the ostrich’s long and regal lives ended in the crosshairs of professional marksmen who carried out the cull of 300.

When a highly pathogenic influenza virus is found in a flock, it is presumed that the virus will be transmitted indefinitely through the birds’ stool. Complete destruction of all the birds is considered to be the only option for eradicating the outbreak, even if the birds show no sign of infection. The same playbook is being used for these poor little penguins.

Large-scale culling of flocks is still used to this day to eliminate the presence of the highly pathogenic virus. Culling is accepted internationally as a legitimate public health measure—and it has been for hundreds of years–since the 1700s when it was first implemented to contain an outbreak of rinderpest, a diarrheal disease in cattle.

As Dr. Tenpenny reminds us, and as we all know, this isn’t necessarily a “follow the science” move. In other words, the fact that culling is such a common intervention does not mean it is necessarily supported by scientific evidence.

An immediate argument against culling is that animals suffer both emotional and physical pain (McMillan, 2003) between the moment they are hurt (shot, poisoned, etc.) and their death. Researchers from the Centre for Biomedical Ethics, National University of Singapore, and Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel have concluded that culling has not been proven effective or cost-effective from a scientific perspective and should be highly contested from a societal perspective.

But we KEEP doing it–worldwide. One outbreak at a commercial farm can result in hundreds of thousands or millions of birds being destroyed. From 2005 to 2020, 246 million poultry were culled. In 2022 alone, more than 131 million domestic poultry were culled. In the month of April 2025—in just that month, nearly 4 million poultry were culled.

Mass culling of poultry flocks is common, but so is mass vaccination. Many countries use mass vaccination as part of a national poultry management program. So it begs the question…if mass vaccination works so well, why do birds still get sick?

Here’s one example. A documented commercial flock received a four-dose H5N1 vaccination program. Importantly, H5N1 subsequently infected the flock and mortality reached 35%, illustrating that vaccination doesn’t necessarily prevent infection or transmission.

Who’s The Real Target?

In bird culling of domestic poultry, the birds are not the real target. We are. While the mainstream narrative creates constant fear about bird flu spreading from infected flocks to humans, that is not the real scare event.

These culling incidents result in millions of birds and dollars lost. Consumer costs of poultry and eggs skyrocket. In a 1983 rural Pennsylvania culling, nearly 17 million birds—mostly chickens and domestic ducks—were destroyed, leading to escalated consumer costs of approximately $349 million.

A 2001 H5N1 event in Hong Kong resulted in the slaughter of virtually all poultry—chickens, ducks, geese, and quail—in the territory. The slaughter of 1.2 million birds cost the farms and markets across the region more than $10 million.

In context, the real loss is the economic losses to local farmers and the poultry industry, and ultimately adding another stressor of food costs and even food shortages to our lives.

But what is the real target when vaccinating a wild population? We don’t eat birds from these wild colonies, so what is the reason? The purpose? The endgame?

There is precedence for populating wild flocks. A recent example is from 2023 following the H5N1 outbreak that killed more than 20 condors. The US tested and implemented H5 vaccination in this critically endangered species. Similarly, after condor deaths from West Nile virus, adults and new chicks at recovery facilities were vaccinated, with accessible wild chicks also vaccinated.

New Zealand is vaccinating core breeding populations of kākāpō, takahē, shore plover, black stilt and orange-fronted parakeet before H5N1 becomes established there. But the scale of vaccination of a free-ranging wild population as large as the little penguin flocks in completely unprecedented. Previous cases, like the condors, have been very limited.

As Ferguson asks: “Why vaccinate 5,000 penguins? What evidence do we have that an intervention like vaccination of a healthy wild colony outweighs the risks of capturing, injecting, microchipping, and then recapturing thousands of animals? What safety data exists specifically for these penguins? And what happens if the intervention itself causes unintended harm?”

This outrageous vaccination program has been described as “vaccine fanaticism on steroids.”

We are ALL under the supervision of the globalists—the WEF, the WHO, all of them. Neither are the penguins it seems.
