How’s Your Fiber Intake?

The body can’t break down fiber so it isn’t digested by the small intestine. As such, consuming more foods with fiber, such as produce or whole grains, serves as roughage which helps sweep out toxins and excess cholesterol from the digestive system. Fiber also helps stabilize the gut microbiome, the collection of good bacteria that keep your stomach healthy.
