Gain Back Control Over Your Blood Sugar

We’re hardwired to enjoy eating sweet food and drinks. Our brains respond to the sweetness of a cookie or cake with a hit of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that tells us something feels good.  However, carbs and sweet foods can trigger a rapid rise in our blood sugar, known as a blood sugar spike, with a wide range of negative effects. And it happens more often than you think. As many as 88% of people experience high blood sugar spikes.

Just a single spike in blood sugar after a meal can increase oxidative stress and cause inflammation in the body. As insulin floods the body to remove the excess glucose from the blood sugar spike, the resulting crash in blood sugar can cause you to feel hungry again, setting up a damaging cycle.

Too much sugar is toxic to the body, creating metabolic dysfunction that affects how we feel every day, and raises our long-term risk for diabetes and heart disease. Over time, repeated blood sugar spikes can lead to insulin resistance and stubborn weight gain.

There are seven common signs to watch out for to know if you have dysregulated glucose levels and blood sugar spikes.

  • Hunger soon after eating
  • Cravings for sweet foods
  • Brain fog or lack of focus
  • Dips in energy levels
  • Acne or skin breakouts
  • Constantly feeling exhausted
  • Stubborn weight gain

Up to 88% of people have dysregulated glucose levels, experiencing blood sugar spikes after a meal.  A rapid blood sugar spike creates a rapid drop in blood sugar, which can cause constant hunger, intense cravings for sweet foods, and energy levels that plummet.  Gluco-Control, is a natural way to support healthy blood sugar every day.

It’s unique plant-based formula helps to target excess glucose from meals, supporting a flatter glucose curve and helping to reduce blood sugar spikes, so you feel better every day.

Healthy Blood Sugar Support
While our bodies need glucose, too much too fast creates a blood sugar spike. To reduce this spike, our bodies release insulin, which stores most of the excess glucose in our fat cells. This causes our blood sugar levels to “crash” making us tired and hungry.  Gluco-Control’s exclusive plant-based enzymes target excess glucose from your meal, helping to flatten the glucose curve after you eat.  It’s also all-natural, gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO.

Reduce Hunger, Naturally
Are you ever hungry soon after eating? That’s a classic sign you had a blood sugar spike, as crashing glucose levels trigger the release of the hunger hormone (ghrelin), making you feel like you really need to eat again. When you flatten out the glucose curve you avoid the spike and crash, and as a result you can feel fuller for a lot longer.

Curb Cravings for Sweets
Research shows that when our blood sugar levels crash after a spike, our cravings for sweet foods intensify. So, wanting something sweet has nothing to do with how much willpower you have, instead it’s about having healthy blood sugar levels. If your glucose levels are more stable, you simply won’t crave sweet foods as much.

HEALING A BROKEN HEART

If you haven’t heard of the Lown Institute, let me introduce you to it.  It is named after Dr. Bernard Lown whose achievements over 50 years changed the practice of cardiology globally.  Like me, his vision is that of a healthier world, advocating for preventative medicine, non-invasive management of heart disease, and compassionate healing.

The Lown Institute measured the overuse of coronary stents at 1,773 hospitals using Medicare claims data from 2019-2021.  (Each year, healthcare providers worldwide put in more than three million stents.).  Let’s break this down.  According to The Lown Institute Hospitals Index:

  • U.S. hospitals performed over 229,000 unnecessary coronary stents from 2019-2021. That’s a rate of one every seven minutes.
  • Of the approximately 1 million stents placed by hospitals, 22 percent met criteria for overuse
  • Nationwide, the average cost for the placement of a stent is $77,000
  • Medicare wasted as much as $2.44 billion on unnecessary stents from 2019-2021.
  • Medications, complications, and procedures can further add to medical bills.

So, is there anything we can do to heal the heart once it’s been damaged?

Now is the time for a push for methods like ECP therapy that offer non-invasive benefits for heart health (and overall wellness), providing a potentially safer option for those with heart disease all the while adhering to ‘First do no harm’. It’s so important to be ahead of curve on your health game BEFORE major issues turn up.  But even for individuals already struggling with health hurdles, this therapy is a game-changer.

In a study of 450 patients with refractory angina and left ventricular dysfunction, ECP significantly reduced 6-month emergency room visits by 78% and hospitalizations by 73%.

The best cardiac candidates for ECP are persons with recurrent or refractory angina, who fall into the category of diffuse and/or inoperable CAD, who are NOT a candidate for angioplasty because their arteries are exceedlingly tiny, and for patients who have high coronary calcium scores.  ECP can be used port-surgery & with pacemakers, internal defibrillators, and stints.  And it is DRAMATICALLY less expensive than angioplasty, stints, or surgery.

ECP significantly increases LV-EF and at the same time, rests the heart and reduces resting heart rate.

Ischemic and non-ischemic cardiomyopathy and both systolic and diastolic dysfunction are improved with ECP.

A study of 108 consecutive patients receiving ECP had a significant reduction in systolic blood pressure at the end of the course of treatment. There were no adverse effects on diastolic blood pressure or heart rate.

What about the elderly?

There is a rich pool of evidence accumulated for ECP clinical application in the prevention and management of multiple comorbidities in the elderly population, including angina, heart failure, ischemic cerebrovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, sleep disorder, diabetes and its complications, including ischemic eye diseases, sudden hearing loss and erectile dysfunction, as well as various psychological and psychiatric conditions.
I invite you to visit one of our two centers, one in Ohio and one in Ventura, for a complimentary 15 minute mini session (call to reserve a time in advance) to try out the beds allowing you an understanding of what the ECP experience is.  Mention this ad for special pricing on packages of 10, 20 and 35.
