Could Parasites Be the Missing Link in Breast Health?

If you were sitting in my clinic today and told me you’ve been feeling tired, foggy, or bloated, or that your breasts sometimes feel tender or swollen, I would tell you this: your body is talking to you.
These are not random complaints. They are signals that something deeper is happening beneath the surface.

We live in an increasingly toxic environment, one that challenges our biology in ways previous generations never faced. Even when you eat well and stay active, invisible exposures surround you: additives in food, residues in water, heavy metals, plastics, and emotional stress that keeps the body on high alert. Over time, this constant pressure slows digestion, burdens the liver, and clogs the body’s detox pathways, including the lymphatic system, all of which are intimately connected to breast health.

As I shared in my recent article, 3 Hidden Breast Cancer Triggers You’ve Never Been Warned About,” the breasts reflect what is happening in the gut and liver. When those systems slow down, toxins and hormones build up, and breast tissue pays the price.

And there is one factor I find more often in women today: parasitic infestations.

Can Parasites Affect Breast Health?

This is not a topic that most doctors discuss, but I have observed it over more than two decades of practice. Parasites are not just a problem in developing countries. They are increasingly common in modern, industrialized nations, especially among women who are stressed, overworked, and unknowingly exposed through everyday life.

Parasite exposure occurs in ways that most people never consider: drinking contaminated water, consuming undercooked meats or seafood (such as sushi), swimming in lakes or ponds, gardening without gloves, or walking barefoot on beaches where sand can harbor microscopic parasites. Even our beloved pets can carry them. Combined with environmental toxins and processed foods that weaken the gut and immune system, these exposures create the perfect environment for parasites to thrive.

They do not usually live in breast tissue, but they can absolutely affect it. When parasites inhabit the gut or liver, their waste and toxins burden the lymphatic system, which can pass through the entire body, including the nodes that are in the underarms and throughout the breasts. That congestion can lead to tenderness, swelling, or cystic changes.

I cannot tell you how many women I have seen with thermography scans that show unexplained lymphatic congestion in the upper chest. When we focus on improving the internal terrain, supporting detoxification and overall cleansing, the breast patterns begin to normalize.

For this, one of my first recommendations is a gentle herbal parasite cleanse that I personally use and recommend in my clinic. It contains black walnut hull, wormwood, cloves, and olive leaf, all of which are well-known for their ability to rebalance the gut and reduce microbial load without causing harshness or fatigue.

The Lymph-Parasite Connection in Women

Your lymphatic system is your body’s cleansing highway. It carries immune cells and cellular waste, keeping you protected. Unlike your bloodstream, it has no pump. It relies on movement, hydration, and consistent detoxification to keep flowing.

When parasites and their byproducts clog this system, the flow slows down. Waste becomes trapped, and toxins are reabsorbed. Because the breasts contain abundant lymph tissue with very little individualized movement, stagnation often appears there first.

This is why movement, hydration, and internal cleansing are so important. Supporting lymph flow using a gentle herbal protocol helps lighten the load so your body can finally start draining the way it is meant to.

How Parasites Disrupt Hormones and Estrogen Balance

Parasites are chemical disruptors. Some species can mimic estrogen, while others interfere with the liver’s ability to break these xenoestrogens down. Over time, this can lead to estrogen dominance, one of the main reasons for fibrocystic changes, PMS, and breast tenderness.

You may recall from my earlier article that proper estrogen metabolism relies on the liver detoxification pathways. When parasites or toxins impair those pathways, estrogen builds up instead of being safely eliminated.

This is one reason women can do everything right —eat well, take supplements, exercise, even balance their thyroid —and still feel “off”. Until we clear the toxic parasitic burden, balance will not hold. I take this herbal parasite cleanse twice daily, and I cycle it three weeks on and one week off. You may have heard me mention this routine on my podcasts or in my recent discussion with Barbara O’Neill, where we compared the top ingredients we both use for this kind of cleanse. Consistency, not intensity, is what restores true balance.

Subtle Signs Your Body May Be Overloaded

When women tell me, “I just don’t feel like myself,” these are the signs I would listen for.

Common symptoms of internal overload include:
– Fatigue or brain fog that never seems to lift
– Bloating, sugar cravings, or nausea after meals
– Itchy skin, recurring yeast infections, or rashes
– Waking up between 2 and 3 a.m. and struggling to fall back asleep
– Hormonal swings or fibrocystic breast changes

If any of these sound familiar, PAY ATTENTION. Your body is sending a message. It does not need another prescription. It needs support and relief from toxic overload.

How to Support Gentle, Ongoing Cleansing

Cleansing is not a seasonal reset. It is part of daily maintenance. The goal is not to attack and purge. It is to create an internal environment where parasites cannot survive and toxins cannot accumulate. That takes consistency, not aggression. This is what I have advised patients as a place to start:

1. Go slow. A gentle herbal cleanse works with your body, not against it.
2. Support your liver; this is where toxins and hormones are processed.
3. Keep your lymph moving by walking, stretching, dry brushing, and hydrating all day long.
4. Stay consistent. Your body may have years of toxic buildup. EMF exposure now adds an unprecedented burden, compounding the effects of chemicals, mold, and environmental toxins.

These do not leave the body on their own. Proper cleansing is the only way to remove them. And with EMF stress increasing daily, detoxification must become part of your everyday routine.

DR. TENPENNY'S RECOMMENDATION

Many women assume that fatigue, bloating, and foggy thinking are simply a natural part of aging. They are not. They are signs that your body is overloaded and asking for help.

In my experience, internal cleansing has a profound impact on everything: digestion, mood, sleep, energy, and even mental clarity. When you lighten the parasitic and toxic burden, your body naturally recalibrates.

The herbal parasite cleanse I use and recommend combines 11 plant extracts including black walnut hull, wormwood, cloves, and olive leaf. Together, they eliminate parasites, cleanse the gut, and support the liver, which are the organs most closely connected to hormone balance and breast health.

This is not a harsh chemical detox. It is a gentle, daily way to keep your system resilient and strong.  Your body wants to heal. Give it the support it needs. Cleanse gently. Stay consistent. Protect your body from the inside out. Learn more about the herbal parasite cleanse I use and recommend here: para.drtenpenny.com.

Meet Jamie Walden, of Omega Dynamics. Imbued with matchless passion for all things “adventurous” and “fun”, Jamie’s teen years were filled with significant tumult (injuries, arrests, and choices of near life-long consequence). However, amid the rebellion and ruckus, Jamie continually endeavored to one day earn the title, “U.S. Marine”. After being nominated to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Defense, Intelligence, and Diplomacy in Washington, D.C., where he subsequently secured a nomination to the US Naval Academy, Jamie made the determination to simply enlist in the Marine Corps Infantry and achieve his childhood dream.

After leaving the Marines Corps, Jamie obtained a double major B.S. in Law Enforcement and History. Pursuing a career in Federal Law Enforcement, Jamie was selected as an Intern for the United States Marshals Service, and subsequent recruitment to a “Three Letter” agency. It was then, when Jamie received “the call”, that the Lord began testing and affirming the genuineness of his faith.

After again returning to Iraq in 2014 to serve the Christians suffering under the savage campaign of ISIS, Jamie and his wife Virginia were compelled to surrender their paradigm and follow the Lord into full-time ministry.

“The Mission of Omega Dynamics is this: to teach, train and equip “Those with ears to hear” to stand anew in their rightful place as more than conquerors in a kingdom that cannot be shaken…this generation is literally, eternally dying for us to”
